Being away from home doesn’t relieve me of my rehabilitation responsibilities, so I pumped up the tires on my dad’s bike and started cruising the morning countryside. Ducks and geese are everywhere this time of year so it makes for a beautiful ride. It’s a leisurely trip, just enough to loosen things up and maintain as much muscle as I can. By the time I get back to the house, I’m ready for a cup of coffee and a bag of ice.
I’ve been getting a lot of crackling sounds when I bend my knee past 90 degrees. Everything up to that point is fine, then the crepitus kicks in. It’s focused across the top of my knee and I can physically feel a lumpy area above my kneecap. I was told during physical therapy to do the leg press at 90 degrees so I wonder if it’s time to extend my flexion a little more. My mom got me a free trial membership to the local gym so maybe I’ll give that a try.
